The work seems never ending !…  … following some of the assignments i have given Rachel….List of computer makers ; we are especially interested in the new cheap generation, eg ; Nicholas Negroponte’s OLPC project..he has just sold 100,000 to the Uruquay government..with Brazil to follow…

We wonder if we can do a package deal to supply to schools…..??

Applying for two patents for inventions with an eco slant ..will let you know what they are when i have the ” patent applied for ” status !

Another task..To produce a work manual for the webmasters office protocol..he will need to know how to instruct the research team.

The biggest program is the work manuals for our free “Eco enterprise education ” Package. This is a way of teaching quality skills and directly  usable knowledge to children or students..it will have advanced elements…more on this in July when we launch.

Build a list of social enterprise projects which we can contact and hopefully interest in our free progam when complete ,as well as offering use of “testmyidea “platform.

Perhaps the biggest job is a white paper on  how third world entrepreneurs  are currently helped ..( ref;” White mans burden.”   .W. Easterly )  and how we can help in a far more cost effective way.

We hope to have most of the above fini by June..yes  2008 !

Great news for me not so good for Andy in Koh Tao…..He’s working …but Rachel is home with us for a few weeks ………………… this will give her time to progress her idea..scuba diving ladies at http://divingmaster.com ….she will give you her story.

From TMI’s stand point we now have a worker who will help us pull things together..especially the office protocol we will use in Mian Channu….( just a little insider information ..we can rent out part of our office space , because the building is huge )

We will be producing a ” white paper “on the coming revolution in helping the poor.. It may be called ” STARTUP POOR…..THE REVOLUTION TO HELP THE RICH GIVE THE POOR THE MEANS TO ENTER WORLD MARKETS “……….. watch this space…

So you want to use your great idea to ..a.. Change the world, and .. b.. Make some money ?

Well before you start to to do this ask your self..”Am i prepared to spend 1. 2 or even 5 years on this project ? Is there a market for the product or service i will offer ? How big is the market ? How will i will i sustain myself and team whilst building this world beater ? If you have a family do you have their support ? If not you are heading for a very stressful future !

These questions are important to answer because no matter how much you wish otherwise , day to day living goes on..and this must be catered for plus the extra pressure of doing some thing very different from the norm….to build a global company takes immense resolve and requires a certain type of personality to cope with all the range of problems to overcome if you would succeed.

It is not true to say anyone can build a business of their dreams…but if you have what it takes ,and there is only one way you can find out…get started and meet and beat each problem..
The mindset you need accepts that basically you are solving small problems as they come up so you can solve the big problem……

One great help is to find a mentor if you can…this often is very difficult at the start because you have no track record, why should a busy successful business person help you? …..

THE SECRET….find out what your chosen mentor needs and offer to give it to him/her…This often requires creativity….more on this in a future blog… ( finding a mentor )

To help get you started lets consider what criteria “billion dollar ideas ” have to meet if they are
to change the world ( and they have to have such credentials to be seriously considered by the “money men “…….. )
We will take “startup-poor.com” as an example …………………………………… What’s the big idea? ….”To help the 4 billion poor on the planet by getting the rich to gift the poor the means to generate revenue by connecting them to world markets “
There is no doubt there is a market there that wants help and above all to be given the dignity
to do it themselves ….. ( not given just food aid…welcome tho’ that is .. )

To solve the problem of how help poor people enter world markets ,you need to give them free information in their own language; plus free internet access; plus, initially a mentor,
We are opening an office to give free internet access , then will supply free online and offline information on how to generate revenue from the internet…then later use that system to build offline businesses if required.
The mentors will come from trained individuals in the various charities..our first one is in Columbia…more on this as it comes on stream…..

In China the program will start with social entrepreneurs from the colleges..we have already started to do this … they have a ” best idea “challenge ..with a prize .

The obvious question now is ” Where is the money to come from ? ” Initially this will come from all entrepreneural students who are eco friendly and socially concerned ..these are local to our office in Mian Channu ;even though the basic internet marketing programs are free many will buy the more advanced marketing strategies and digital products , such as DVD’s CD’s and Video’s………. The increase in traffic will attract ad revenue…because ..having a base of student entrepreneurs , a % of whom will be very successful is the ideal market for banks ; internet marketing companies ; loan organisations etc..to target.

Obviously this will all take time but the foundation is there ..when you have a revenue generation stream you then roll out to other countries…We intend doing this partly by country specific blogs..
..eg startup-singapore ; startup -pakistan; startup-california.com.. startup-india.com.

So to sum up………..You need the right mind set.
Must have global reach.
The market must be ready for your product.
Find a mentor.
Build alliances
Build first class technology…. tmi is now building final version of test bed.
Get investors to monitor your project ..this builds a relationship, so they can see your progress, and are in a much better postion to understand your concept and your thinking process…and will be much more receptive to your request for early adoption.
Get an education in internet marketing.
Produce a marketing plan.

A.. By understanding what we did and how we did it..it can help save time and money..especially finding high quality team members..at little or nil cost..This is one of the most vital of all things to do ;if you do not have a good team you will almost certainly fail.

Q..But i am only going to have myself or one or two in the business !

A..Most businesses start with only one or two people..but if that’s your limit..you are on the wrong site! We are setting a lead for entrepreneurs who are very ambitious and will want ultimately investment funding..
